Cenote is a Chrome extension that helps you focus by blocking distracting websites during timed study sessions. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and what is never collected.
Cenote does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with any server or third party. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no external network requests made by the extension.
Cenote stores the following data exclusively on your device using the Chrome Storage API:
chrome.storage.local and cleared after
restoration.
chrome.storage.session and cleared when
the browser closes
If you have Chrome Sync enabled, your focus sessions and blocklist are
synced across your own Chrome instances via
chrome.storage.sync. This data is managed entirely by Google
and subject to
Google's Privacy Policy. Favicons are stripped before syncing to stay within Chrome's sync
quota.
Cenote requests the following Chrome permissions and uses them solely for the features described:
Cenote does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
